Planning
Bruce was inspired just 10 days before he took his first steps... with just over a week to plan, pack and sort out all the logistics he was determined.
The Bruce Trail is a challenging 890 km hiking trail from the Niagara River to the tip of Tobermory, Ontario. The trail follows the edge of the Niagara Escarpment and is one of the thirteen UNESCO World Biosphere Reserves in Canada.
Bruce's "end to end" hike is called #BruceHikeBruce. The first third was done in Sept 2018, and the remainder was completed in July of 2019. Throughout the adventure, Bruce documented much of the trials, joys, and tribulations on video. You can watch all 25 days from the comfort of your favourite chair.
Bruce left Queenston Heights Park at the edge of the Niagara River, and headed north. 390 kms later he finished the first leg of his "end to end" attempt of the Bruce Trail near Creemore. These are the 13 videos that were created documenting this journey.
